My goal as an art educator is to encourage independent art practices and provide participants with the skills they need to grow.
My program offers extensive lessons that challenge its participants. It is beginner friendly and will allow its participants to get into a creative rhythm at their own pace. My program can be adjusted to fit any time requirements. I will demonstrate lessons on the elements and principles of art, as well as various art techniques. My program also aligns with education standards, that vary for each grade. I have experience in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking, and many, if not all are incorporated in my program. I incorporate more extensive projects for higher grade levels. My program pushes for creative thinking and planning. The programs I offer can be adjusted to fit the needs of the school, and are designed to create self-improvement for the participants. This improvement is not limited to art, I also aim to improve social skills and provide emotional outlets for the participants.
Single Lesson- Participants will meet for 3-5 hours(Times may vary). This program focus on one medium and participants will have a demonstration that they will recreate and make their own. Courses can be based on drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, or printmaking.
Multiweek Program- Participants will have art lessons every week for 8-10 weeks. This program can occur once a week or multiple times per week. Participants will have a demonstration first, and will then have the freedom to create works independently based on the things they have learned. Materials and techniques will allow participants to be risk-takers and have the opportunity to branch out and discover their own artistic style.
Residency- This program focuses on art integration and incorporating art into the core studies of students. This program introduces more ways of learning material, and finding ways to apply what they learn to the things they encounter daily.
Murals- This program focuses on the beautification of student environments. Collaboration is needed from the school, and students are expected to participate in the creation of the mural.
